It's a difficult thing to get right LL. It's hard for the subject and photographer to shoot images like this, it demands a lot of trust and understanding between both. It's also hard to get the lighting just right to get realistic skin tones. I took over 80 shots at college to get 1 image and that was a result as far as I was concerned. Hours and Hours of film developing in the dark room but it paid off. Thanks to digital though it's far easier with modern technology to get the one shot you want without taking weeks and too much $.
