philosophy - live life love

The past is irretrievable, the future is uncertain and the present never lasts but a second before it has gone.

We do then in effect, not exist in time, we exist in space, constantly being defined by time in a measurement of our age in years. Essentially we live. We are living regardless of the hour and all we have is the moment. The rest of our lives is either in our memory or our imagination.

We live in an expansive beautiful universe, which is itself, limited by it's own time, for the light it sheds and the revolutions it makes, is time. That which we rule our lives with, will fade and never burn so bright again.

Whilst we have these moments, we should cherish them, we should fall on our knees in thanks for them and be overjoyed we can breathe, walk, talk and see.

Even in times of heartache and despair we should still be filled with joy because - we are living. The fact that humans shed a tear, is beautiful itself. The fact that elephants remember their buried and stand in solemn silence, is majestic bliss.

The next time your partner is close to you, when you have the chance to love them, love them like it is your last second on earth. Hold them tight as if your life depended on it because essentially, it does. At the same time be free of all restraint and relish your freedom.

Tell them how much you love them often, just as you would like to be told, because every second of every precious day, you, like everyone else on this planet now, and just like every other human that has ever walked this amazing earth, wants to be loved. It's a primary need. Many would not admit it, many would deny it to themselves, but that's the brutal truth.

It is not a quest we embark on. It is not a mission we plan. It is just rooted so deep in the human soul, nothing can ever suppress it. Often people ask, what is the meaning of life as if it was the most philosophical question ever raised, so complex it can never be answered. The answer is obvious to me. It is to Live. It is that simple.

If you choose to wonder whether or not you love someone and whether or not you love yourself. Then you are wondering too much when you should be loving.

If you are doubting if they or you are happy together, then you are wasting precious moments contemplating and analysing when you should be being happy.

People should not apply these things merely to their sexual partners, husbands, wives or girlfriends. If the human race is ever to be happy then we should let love flow through our families, our communities, our nations and our continents. Until that happens, the world will be full of unfulfilled souls.

First decide what Love is to you. Decide what makes you happy and be quick about it. Then when you have made a prompt decision, do the things that make you happy and just keep doing it and don't ever stop until your choice in the matter is no longer your's to make, because one day, sooner or later - and it is always too soon, it will not be in your hands. Love everything and love everyone you get chance to love and your world will be a better place.

You do choose whether you are happy and you do choose to not be, no one else can do that for you. You can choose to love someone, but you can not choose who loves you, they do, whoever they may be. Your happiness is a conscious decision, nothing more.
