A man called Riley has seen fit do drug me up to the point where i was nearly unconscious. He did this after bashing my jaw line and teeth about with heavy metal instruments and i don't mean stratocasters. Then he repeatedly inserted 3 inch needles deep into my gums before he removed an old bridge from my mouth. He then decided it was necessary to carry out another 6 injections which penetrated deep into my root canal. Then he thought it would be a good idea to use a power grinder for a few minutes which lead to extensive bleeding. Then he used a long sharp titanium needle wrapped in a swab to aggravate the already bleeding areas of my gum.

Then he asked me if I felt ok ! - The answer to which is a resounding - NO - I do not feel OK

I woke up this morning and all the anasthetic had worn off - OMG do i feel the pain now. I can not stomach another tablet today, no more pain killers and no more antibiotics for a while because just the idea makes me feel sick. Grin and bear it time for me. Yes, he is my dentist and a very good one. It kills me when they say - let me know if it hurts, just say - Well how can you tell them when your mouth is full of needles, suction tubes and swimming in blood!

I know it has to be done and I am really grateful that I have been treated now. I appreciate what he did for me. You can raise an arm and gesture and the procedure stops for a few seconds for momentary relief before they say - ok rinse out and we will have another go - so when it hurts so much you just lay still and keep quiet in the hope that it will be over quicker and inside your head you are screaming like a spoilt child in a really bad mood.

that i've suffered it too..and the anaesthesic makes me feel like a drunk. It's terrible. aiss..sorry for that. thanks god my dentist ( Sara) is careful with me.

Aww...been there myself! My dentist likes to ask me questions WHILE working on my teeth...wtf, as if I can answer with both his hands in my mouth!

exactly - if anyone but a dentist was doing this kind of thing you could kill them in the name of self defence but instead we book an appointment and pay them to do it to us. gotta laugh about it though.

A good Dentist has to always know when you have a cavitie.. so what happen and how come you are in such a pain... floss floss and brush brush... good breath is must.. take care Karlos

easy tiger - i am so obsessive about dental health - i do all the right things trust me - many years ago i lost 2 teeth and had to have a bridge fitted to fill the space, the bridge had lasted for ages but recently it finally started to decay, according to the dentist the infection was deep in the roots of the missing teeth and although i use mouthwash regularly those areas would be difficult to keep clean once the bridge had started to loose it's seal. To fix me up he had to remove the bridge and then clean out all 6 roots with all his clever dentists toys. That's something I can not do with my mouthwash and toothbrush. i looked into the culo thing and as far as i can tell that is either similar to what the americans call booty, which is good i think or it's similar to what the english call butt, which is not so good unless used with a pre-fix like cute or nice or sexy etc etc ....... hmmm [smile]
