I liked these pictures and they reminded me of a poem I had read somewhere:

One Giant Leap
This is a napowrimo offspring~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Giant Leap
Manhattan, that crazy galaxy of stars
glittering like they were windows
lit from within. My satellite listens: old sounds
clustered in the center. Blue noise seeps in
from the north. The crackle of too many signals
confuses the reception in the south.
I want to leave my footprint and sample
the rich mix of its atmosphere.
Man, what I wouldn't give to launch myself
through the cosmos, explore the landmarks,
discover life; climb the mountains and say,
Ahh.
beautiful images!
These are of course all hubble deep field images, i did adjust the images a little to raise the sharpness, contrast and brightness a little - but tried not to adapt them too much, just wanted to give them a lift that's all. Nebulae just knock me out and I spend hours at the hubble site studying these things, Carina and the Eagle are my favourites they are just stunning deep space environments. Really glad you liked them Dee and thanks for the poem shobha.
bonita nice bonita and mi favorita ''helix2'' : ]
I have just added some credits and detail for the Helix Planetary Nebulae and by the end of the day I should have added all the info for this set, the image of the Helix took an exposure time of 4.5 hours and it's over 5 light years wide. Just incredible stuff really, we are so lucky to have the technology of hubble in our life time, to be able to witness these deep space images is such a delight.
[this is good]
These are beautiful!
