It's a good transfer rate, It took hours to sort my iPhoto library out but just 110 seconds to copy over to the external drive. Thats more than fast enough for me.
I shall test out some mp3s soon as well because my iTunes is dangerously overloaded with files. I will post the results of that as well. All good so far.
