The UN security council tightened sanctions on Iran last night for refusing to suspend the enrichment of uranium and other sensitive elements of its nuclear programme, but Tehran showed no sign of ending its defiance. The new security council resolution represented a small increment in the sanctions regime already in place against Iran. Mandatory travel bans were imposed on some Iranian officials involved in nuclear activities, while two Iranian banks were put on an international watch list on suspicion of involvement in covertly buying equipment for the Iranian programme, which western countries believe is ultimately aimed at producing weapons, but which Iran insists is exclusively for peaceful energy generation. It is hypocrisy. You can not but we can. Hogwash to that.

We are but pawns in life's chess game. Hopefully this doesn't help escalate the already-strained relationships in the Middle East -- ah, who am I kidding?

A few years ago I would agree with that pikon but lately I don't think I do any more. To be a pawn is to be involved in the game at least. Most of us are forced off the board now and silenced - unable to change the course of the game and many can't even comment now let alone play. The Middle East is just a time bomb ticking right now.

So right Geo - It's ok for the American Military to do whatever they want to do, whenever they want to do it, it's ok for them to raise up the false flags and take up occupation and it's ok for them to have enough atomic bombs to destroy this planet time and time again - but no one else can - they say the bombs are a deterrent right, well, using that philosophy the american administration should be happy for anyone to manufacture atomic weapons but that's not the deal really is it.
